I really am blessed and weekends that last 4 and half days that are as jam packed as this one was, well it reminds me of how blessed I am.
First, Zaftig Follies. Oh. My. GOD! These women made me want to cry several times during the show. Either by their wonderful, humorous hosting (World Famous *BOB*), their vocals that make you shake in your bones (Broadway Brassy), their captivating classic moves (Jezebel Express) ,their inspirational dances (Darlinda Just Darlinda) or their hospitality and warmth (Juicy Jenn). It was a sight to be seen. Everyone there had a blast, laughing and cheering every performer on as if they were the only act of the night. The food was incredibly, which is what I only know Asbury Lanes to have, and the bowling was goofy. It was a cathartic show that just was bursting at the seems with positive energy. No one left that night not feeling inspired.
Second, Coney Island. Getting a chance to help out with the Wonder Wheel’s 90th birthday was so much fun! I love working with people that inspire me and push me to be better and helping Jen Gapay out was just that. This woman does it all! I was only more than happy to be one of the little people to help make it happen. The performers were spectacular. Phineas the Clown had more stage presence than most adults I know and he was 12! World Famous *BOB* rocked it like the super star she is by hosting all 4 hours and it was great to see my friends that were in and at the show. Plus free rides at the amusement park was just like the icing on the cake.
Third, The Compound. Little did any of us involved know that one comment on a facebook page would lead to a sleepover involving movies, games, bagels, hot tubbing, croquet, pooling, and diving through a flaming heart. I have so much love for the couple that had us over and shared their home with us. They are good people and good friends. I only wish I had a compound of my own to share with them!
Fourth, Clue, The Office Edition. Being able to share one of your nerd obsessions with another couple is pretty awesome. Especially when you obsession is something as dorky as The Office. But who cares. We had a great time, we ate good pizza, lot of poodle kisses were given and it will happen again soon.
Fifth, Photoshoot for a deck of cards. Thanks to my friend Fem Appeal, I was put in touch with a really incredible photographer. She has found herself in love with the scene up here and has decided to start a project where she will have 52 burlesque performers on cards. I shot with her and it was awesome. We both worked well together and I don’t envy her job picking the shot for the card because there were so many good ones. It was nice to talk with someone who loves the art and sees the beauty in the variety that is the burlesque world. I’m excited to help this project along and to get the final product! Can you guess which card I’ll be?
And all of these things came from one weekend! This is my life! It’s hard to imagine a world where none of this existed. Where I never decided to start doing burlesque. I can remember the exact event that was the original catalyst for getting me into burlesque. Auditioning for the Vagina Monologues. If I had not auditioned for the show, I wouldn’t have gotten a role. IF I hadn’t gotten a role, I wouldn’t have met my friend who was a drag King. If I hadn’t met my friend, we wouldn’t have done a duet. If I hadn’t performed I wouldn’t have met the burlesque artist that asked me if I performed burlesque. If she had never asked me that, I would never have gotten on stage. If I had never gotten on stage, Bambi Galore would have never been born. It’s really crazy how one decision could have changed your entire life but I think I would have found it sooner or later. Bambi is who I am. I would have found her sooner or later but I am glad to have the life and the friends that I do and I only feel excitement for the future. I hope you feel the same about your lives too.
huggles and kisses.

So in my whirlwind, last minute trip to DC I got to see some fabulous friends and perform with a few others. It was a lot of fun getting to see my Richmond girls again, including My Magnolia. But funny enough it put me in a pickle!
It means I have to change the act that I was going to do for Luvely Rae’s One Night Stand this Tuesday at Fat Baby. It’s ok, I’m bringing an oldie but a goodie that always gets the audience pumped, so if you come, you will be pumped!! All of it though will have to go right back into the costume bag after the show though because I got booked for a second show this week! Yay!
I will be performing at Hell’s Kitchen Lounge in Newark this Thursday in Brick City Burlesque. It’s a fun little free show at a neat venue. I’m excited to get my performing chops on their stage as those Jersey audiences tend to be fickle and that makes it more fun sometimes. I’m sure I have something in my bag that will get them off though, lol.
So yes, after many a quiet performing week, I got sprung with a show I didn’t even get to promote since I had less than 12 hours to prepare and travel the 4 hours down to, lol. And I have two gigs this week when all leading up to it I though I only had one.
So come out and support this struggling performer. I am struggling let me tell you! But that’s ok, nothing can stop the rain and nothing is going to stop me!
Huggles and Kisses!

Oh my goodness, the incredible amazingness that was the New York Burlesque Festival has come and gone. I am sad but so happy just from the amazingness of the entire weekend. I only made it to 3 of the 4 shows, I know, I’m a loser but I don’t know how my head would still be intact if I saw any more inspiring acts. Also if I talked to anymore stars!! Good God, I don’t know if I will ever lose the amazement that I get to call such incredible performers my colleagues. I had the best conversation on Friday night in the green room with Roxi D’lite, first runner up at Miss Exotic World. I also shared really sweet words on Sunday with Orchid Mei and Mimi Le Meux as well as Viola Vixen. Gosh, if I were to name everyone I had a wonderful time with this would just look like a call sheet. So many wonderful people and great friends.
I got the greatest compliments from the people I was assisting with as well. I kept the shirt orders in check, I handled the VIPs for the Golden Pasties, I was Jen’s right hand woman whenever she needed some assistance. Many a free drink came my way due to my awesomeness, lol. The highlights though were definitely walking the red carpet and joining everyone on stage afterwards. Plus the sweet sweet things Angie Pontani said to me. It really touched me. God, I am just blown away that this is my life sometimes. That I get to be part of something bigger than myself. Regardless of if I ever win a title or perform at a festival I am a burlesque performer and that can never be taken away from me. I have entertained and been entertained and this is truly who I am.
I cannot stop gushing about all the wonderful people I worked with this weekend and just hung out with. I am so happy to call New York my home and all my other performers my brothers and sisters. Thank you for letting me part of it.
And now for those that didn’t make it, here are the Golden Pastie winners!!
Most Classic: Dirty Martini
Kissing Bandit: Tigger!
Biggest Shlep: Amber Ray
Most Likely to miss a kidney: Sparkly Devil
Most Missed Revue: Starshine
Most innovative: Darlinda Just Darlinda
Most likely to appear in Playboy: Angie Pontani
Biggest Hair: Darlinda Just Darlinda
Most Likely to win at Monopoly: Angie Pontani
Best Ass: Helen Pontani
Most Elegant: Amber Ray
Hottest Freshman: Lil’ Miss Lixx
Most Sensual: Kelita tie Peekaboo Pointe
Biggest Cougar: Jo Boobs
Best Body: Dirty Martini
Hottest Mess: Wildcard Kitty
In my mind though everyone that performed was a winner, they were all stunning, all brought incredible talent and all inspired me to want to not only do more but be more. Thank you all of you for that.
Well off to do those bigger and better things now!
huggles and kisses

I have kept this as quiet as I possible can because I didn’t want to jinx it but the PiC and I are moving. To the Big Apple! The PiC talked with her job and will be working remotely from an office in the Meat Packing District. What I will be doing for finances, I don’t quite know yet but hopefully I will be performing still so that might help. I also wouldn’t mind continuing to work in the field that I do now during the day.
This is a truly exciting time in our lives right now! When I was a little girl I always dreamed of moving to New York to become a performer and now I am doing just that. Ok, so as a little girl it was to be a Broadway Super Star but I am ok with just being a little guppy in the grand sea of burlesque queens out there. Who knows, maybe it will be my big break!
So yes, I am sadly leaving the town that has been my haven for the entirety of my burlesque career but only to continue to watch it grow in a larger arena. Here’s to the future!
Huggles and Kisses!

Oh my goodness, it’s incredible to have a day off! Of course as I say this I’ve been on the internets since 8:30 am sending people information they need, contacting performers for shows, updating my calendars and now finally making it to update my own website! I hate how this always comes last. I love keeping up with all of you all and letting you peek inside the craziness that is my brain. And boy howdy how it has been crazy lately.
Last weekend wasn’t a performing weekend but on the same token it was. The PiC and I went to my cousin’s wedding. Everything was absolutely beautiful. The ceremony had me tearing up the whole time but then again, that’s not really hard to do with me, lol. I was one of the bridesmaids which was super fun. We danced until the joint kicked us out. I also got to make some awesome new friends who learned emphatically of my love of mimosas, lol. All in all, a long but good weekend.
This past Wednesday I got to try out a new number on stage which I always love having that option. I performed in the Cherry Poppin’ Show at Palace and got to see some good friends and help pop a cherry! We had Lilla Bi performing for the first time and what a cutey she was! For a first timer, her routine looked crisp and she looked as if she was having fun up there and that’s always the most important thing! I hope we get her on stage again soon!
So now I have a weekend to play domestic goddess, to clean and costume, that is if I can get out of bed. It’s so nice to just lie around sometimes ya know? But I have a lot on my plate in the near future so I need to use this time to the best of my abilities. But before I go off and get productive I want to share a picture from the photoshoot I did with Cherry Fair.
We had so much fun doing it. Her friend, Sylvia Ortiz, painted me up to look like a doll and then we went out on the town. I think my favorite part was when this little girl’s grandfather asked if she could get her photo taken with me. She was so excited and had the biggest grin. I was once that little girl and I hope she remembers that afternoon. So here is one of the pics from the shoot, the rest are in the Cherry Fair Gallery, take some time to check them out!

Huggles and kisses for now!

Ahh, I had an amazing week being on last week but Lord knows I am also happy to have the week off. It’s nice to have time to prepare costumes and routines and repair costumes and routines, lol. I have plenty to get ready for. I’m really looking forward to Bambi’s Burlezk Experience next week. The performers are all so hilarious and talented, it’s going to be incredible. We even got a guest performer! Miss Philly Caramel is coming all the way down from New Jersey to bring her childlike humor and vixen like beauty.

So make sure you come out and don’t miss it! Also, if you get a chance, check out the Cherry Fair photo gallery. Cherry and I had a fun weekend shooting out in Baltimore. The concept of the shoot is a doll left behind at the park. I loved how we added a level of uncomfortable sadness to the photos. And yet they are so beautiful. I can’t wait till we both come up with something absolutely wicked to do together!
Well hope you enjoy your time off too!
Huggles and kisses

Is packing for new York City. I was hoping to be on the road in 30 minutes. I don’t think that is going to happen. Instead I am using the time that the PiC is in the shower to write you all, hello! It’s been a busy few weeks and I apologize for not posting more. (Doesn’t it feel like I’m always saying I’m busy??)
The show in Richmond went fabulously, the girls were so wonderful to work with and the audience w so in tune. I was really happy with the end result of my routine even if my glitter didn’t give me the effect I was hoping for. I’m still picking glitter off of me, lol. I truly hope I get to work with all those lovely ladies again and if you want to see what you missed, there are photos in the Twilight Images photo gallery.
Sunday up in Baltimore was great too! I was so nervous before hand but once the class got started everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. People were playing with boas and gloves and seemed to all be finding that inner sex vixen that needs to come out every now and then. I even am having one of the lovely ladies help out in my show next week! I am truly grateful to Sugar for giving me the opportunity to teach there and can’t wait for the follow up course!
Going back to Twilight Images I actually had a photo shoot with them on Tuesday. It was a Marie Antoinette, “Let them Eat Cake” theme. Everything was going to be pink and over the top and covered in sugar. I chose to do this shoot for those reasons as well as another. I wanted to do a shoot surrounded by sugar and sweets because I love myself and those things do play into my size. I am a larger performer, you can’t hide that fact. It’s not something that hinders me though, it gives me another reason to perform. To show other larger women that we are sexy. That we are talented. That we are worth more that what society tells us we are worth. I love that I am able to share that message with others just by doing what I love. If you don’t like my size, don’t look, but know that I am not going to stop or be stopped because of it. Everyone isn’t into the same body shape and type and I just give more variety and flavor to the audience. I know that my schedule hasn’t gotten thinner as I’ve gotten bigger, lol. But back to the shoot, it was amazing fun, Melody, the photographer was uber talented and we shot FOREVER! Liv Lethal did my makeup and the wig and if I could I’d just hire her to make me look that gorgeous all the time. Here’s a sneak peek of a pic. I will hopefully add the rest later this week.

This week is going to be even more craziness though. I will do my darnedest to update but in case I’m unable, here’s a list of what I have coming up.
- Sunday: “Kitty Nights” at the Bar on A (170 Avenue A, NY,NY) at 9. It’s being hosted by the amazing Lady Aye and has all the beautiful people in it. A fun cozy family fun night.
- Monday: “Monday Night Burlesque: The Kickoff!” at Public Assembly (70 North 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY) at 9. Hosted by the the funny Johnny Porkpie I’ll be bringing the “heat to NYC.
- Tuesday: “Weirdee Girl and Menace: Boob Tube Animation” at Identity (511 E 6th Street, NY,NY) at 9:30. One of my favorite burly couples brings to life your childhood fantasies with some of NYC funniest ladies and me!
- Wednesday: “DC Gurly Show Meetings” at BeBar (1318 8th Street NW, DC) at 7 and 8. Come at 7 for our Newbie meeting and at 8 for our regular business meeting.
- Thursday: “Drrty Dancing” at Palace of Wonders (1210 H St NE, DC) at 10. I will be bringing to life the music from what seems to be everyone’s favorite Dance movie with some of my favorite performers.
- Friday: SLEEP!!
And so there you have it people, make it out to something, I’m everywhere! Now to pack, finally!
Huggles and kisses!

Oh my goodness! This is going to be a short message as I just wanted to wish you all a happy new year! an amazing time was had by all me thinks at the Ottobar last night. My second biggest fan, Michael (the PiC gets to hold the title of number one fan) came all the way to Baltimore and it was awesome to ring in the new year with him along with my Gilded Lily family. We drank, we sang, we danced and we rocked. It was a haul to go all the way up there and back but what a way to say goodbye to the old and hello to the new!
This year is going to be an exciting one me thinks! I am thinking bigger and better with my routines and costumes as well as my overall goals as a performer. I am hoping to make it to some competitions, if not as a competitor at least as an observer. I really want to network more and perform outside of the DC area more. New York City has already opened its arms to me and I am so grateful. I can only hope that other cities will do the same! I am working with a living legend on one of my routines and that to me is a dream come true. While it may only be through email I know she cares how it turns out and that’s so cool. I want to make her proud.
I want to say thank you to everyone who has made this year possible and who have believed in me. I couldn’t have done it without you. There were some dark patches and you were my guiding lights. I only hope that I can be there for you when it is necessary like you were for me.
I’m going to go ahead and keep this short. I’ll post later about the exciting things that 2009 will be bringing!
Huggles and kisses!
